Simplistic Nutrition Recommendations: Unintended Consequences

 

Learning objectives

At the conclusion of this course you should have gained:
  1. An increased awareness of the multiple avenues by which clients and consumers assimilate nutrition information;
  2. A greater understanding of the possible unintended negative health consequences when simplistic dietary recommendations are applied;
  3. Tools to help your clients anticipate long-term consequences of seemingly harmless dietary advice before adopting changes; AND
  4. An enhanced ability to help clients prioritize their health goals and concerns, and to individualize their plans to meet their unique needs.
Written course materials to supplement the PowerPoint presentation are also included. Listening to the PowerPoint and reviewing the additional course materials is worth 3 continuing education credits.
