School Wellness & Health Promotion

School wellness goes beyond the foods served on campus. Anyone in the school community can be involved in school wellness, such as parents, administrators, teachers, food service employees, students, coaches and more.

The three main areas of school wellness are physical activity, nutrition education and nutrition guidelines for meals. Foods served at school include in the classroom, cafeteria and at events outside the school day.

Improve school wellness in just a few steps:

  • Create your team or join one
  • Assess your needs
  • Develop an action plan & timeline
  • Get moving
